@yieldthought And then there's the iPhone 6+. Imagine SSH'ing into a terminal w/GNU screen, do some git dances, on an iPhone Gigantica! LOL@yieldthought any thoughts re: iPad Air 2 + Linode w/ fast LTE or Wi-FI 802.11ac connection for devops? Or, stick w/MacBook Air?

@mboylan I try not to read into OS X logs too much, there's a lot going on. Today my file shares were slow opening in Finder. Restart fixed.@mboylan Interesting. You are using SMB / File Sharing? I have not enabled SMB. I restarted File Sharing and the error stopped printing. Hmm@mboylan Yes, I am seeing this in my logs today for the first time. Let's exchange notes via Twitter DM?

@nasagoddardpix @ericholthaus Amazing image! Is it from the output of an oceanic fluid dynamical model? Reminds me of wind streamlines.Maybe it's just because I'm a practical Midwesterner, but it breaks my heart that the fate of the planet has come down to politics.

@afreedma @juliakumari No surprise on likelihood. Question = magnitude. Too soon to be *confident* of a Super El Niño, so stay calm for now!@jeanqasaur Good advice posted to Quora, tks. Perhaps also consider Malcolm Gladwell's book Outliers, regarding ~= 10,000 hours of practice?@nokusu Probably more truth than fiction. Historically the world has turned on the few. In some cases this may be changing (small groups). It's really up to us, each day, to create the world we want to live in. (and, leave behind for our kids) The status quo is not acceptable.

@nwsbayarea @ericholthaus Nice compressional heating, not to mention Tmax observed @ 5 pm, past typical peak diurnal heating for end of Apr.@ericholthaus @nwsmobile Thanks, that makes sense, more so than a CG lightning strike on the rain gauge itself.@ericholthaus btw, regarding blocking pattern, its 81°F at Seattle-Tacoma. Near record max? Massive ridge = memoirs of this past winter.@ericholthaus Was a NWS rain gauge really struck by lightning? The failure of rain gauges seems more likely due to copious rainfall rates.
